Notes on Benchmarking tools
Here is the list of MySQL benchmarking tools that were discussed during the "Benchmarking tools" session today.
- mysqlslap (5.1 onwards)
- sql-bench
- supersmack
- ApacheBench
- MySQL benchmark() function
- mybench
- wast (MS web application stress test)
- jmeter
It could have been nice if the speaker included sysbench and DBT-2 or DBT-5 as well. May be we can expect it for next year

Thanks for the request for sysbench and dbt-2 dbt-5.
If I add these, and if I get to present next year please note that it will be an introduction, unless I get a longer block of time. I do agree that the session may have been introductory for some of the participants. I can add a little more .. but not too much.
The audience in this session was wonderful.. the bloggers, like yourself.. Great !!
