May be I should retest this on my another Macbook pro. Vista goes to sleep in 1 hour by default. Parallels mapping its sleep state to virtual machine pause. To wake up Vista from sleep you should click on menu Actions->Continue or click on Start button on toolbar. As a workaround you can disable Vista sleep options in Vista control panel.
