WellsFargo Online Banking does not support IE7

In addition to Yahoo! mail, I would like to add to the list that Wells Fargo online access is also not supported for IE7; and I get the following error.

For Online Access with Wells Fargo You Must Use a Supported Browser

Wells Fargo no longer supports the browser version you are using. Please upgrade to a supported browser in order to get access to Wells Fargo’s secure sites

Its bit surprice that the web developers are having a upper check on Versions; means if one releases something with major version change lets say from 6 to 7 in case of IE even without any functional change, the web site will not work. hhhh…

Yahoo! Mail does not work with IE 7

This is a surprice that Yahoo! mail has a check on Browser version, and due to this version check we can not check Yahoo! Mail using Internet Explorer 7, which is part of Longhorn. I did not tried with IE 7 on XP. In a side note, GMail works perfect.

Here is the error and screen shot.

Firefox Browser's Market Share Slips, IE usage 90%

For the first time since its introduction, Firefox has lost ground in its attempt to woo users from Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, according to NetApplications.

May 2005 Browser/Market Share:

Microsoft IE – 87.23%
FireFox – 8.06%
Netscape – 1.64%
Safari – 1.91%
Mozilla – 0.58%
Opera – 0.51%
Other – 0.07%

As Internet Explorer 7 is also released under BETA, which offers the improved security and tabbed browsing feature that Firefox has, one can predict Internet Exploer 7 will sweep the surfing market in the coming days. You can view the screen shots of IE7 on Longhorn from here

Windows Firewall with AVG Anti Virus

This is a simple observation that I made in Longhorn BETA1. Every time, I boot to Longhorn, the Windows Security Firewall Alert pops up during the startup stating Whether to block AVG E-mail scanner or not. Something funny, and do not know how to turn it off (you can find the screen shot below for reference). Note that I do have the same AVG Anti Virus (7.0.338) on XP professional; and I never got any alert except during the install and first startup.

Do you have any idea ?
    Thanks

    Cisco VPN Setup

As most of the applications that were working with XP is also started working on Longhorn; today I tried to install Cisco VPN Client (version 4.0.5) on Vista Beta1, and the final stage of the setup prompted with errors as shown below. Now, I left with no VPN client as Microsoft VPN Client is not supported by our office VPN servers

    WinFX setup failed

    Setup error
When I tried to install WinFX Runtime Components BETA1 for the Longhorn, the setup did not complete in full, instead failed to install. I am not sure if its specific to my system or anybody else in the world is also facing the same. Internet Explorer 7

Finally, Microsoft supported the tabbed browsing feature from Internet Exploer 7; which actually made firefox to be more popular than IE in recent years

Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1 is available now in two versions: a standalone version for Windows XP Service Pack 2, and an enhanced version that is built into Beta 1 of Microsoft Windows Vista

Below you can preview some screen shots of IE7 from Vista
